Cochrane, "The Prince of the Air," has been called the greatest skywalker of
our generation - and with reason. He holds four world records, including his
skywalk in Qutang Gorge, China, considered to be the greatest wirewalk in
history.
Born May 1, 1944 in St. John, New
Brunswick, Canada, he now resides in Ocala, Florida and New York
City.
Jay's career goal is to be the most
celebrated, most remembered skywalker in history. Jay's personal goal is to make
a difference in childrens' life in China.
"I
would like to start a foundation to award scholarships and build summer camps
for the children in the interior. Fate took me to China. Sixty years ago,
another Canadian, Dr. Norman Bethune, went to central China and made a
difference," Jay said. "I would like to equal his good will in this different
time with a different generation. I want them to know that you can accomplish
whatever you try. For if you can dream it, you can do
it."
